Paratrichosoma crocodilus n. gen. n. sp. (Nematoda: Trichosomoididae) from the skin of the New Guinea crocodile.
A new genus of nematode (Paractrichosoma crocodilus) is described from Crocodilus novaeguinae. Adults have typical trichuroid features but elongated stichocytes (over 1 mm in female). Males are one third to one half as long as females and have no spicule or sheath.
متن کاملA Chemical Study of the Blood of Alligator Mississippiensis by Max Barr Rosenblatt
In the course of an investigation concerning perfusion of the alligator heart (Rosenblatt, 1936) it was found desirable to have data available on the normal constituents of the blood of this animal. The only data reported are those of Austin, Sunderman, and Camack (1927) whose work was concerned with the serum electrolyte changes in the alligator with variations in body temperature. Dill and Ed...

Na+, K+, Cl-, NH& and osmolality were determined ...
متن کاملStatus and conservation of the American crocodile, Crocodylus acutus, in Belize
The status of the American crocodile (Crocodylus acutus) in the coastal zone of Belize was investigated from July 1996 to October 1997. Two hundred and sixty-two crocodiles were observed during spotlight surveys of 952.2 km of the survey route (0.28 crocodiles/km). Encounter rates were highest in the Turnee Atoll, and low to moderate elsewhere. Most nesting occurs on elevated beach ridges in t...

strength were measured. The degree of hydrolysis increased with increasing basic pH value. The adhesive exhibited shear-thinning viscous behavior. Both viscosity and shear-thinning character showed a remarkable shift at pH 10.2 and at 50 1C. The curing time decreased with curing temperature within 60–80 1C range. The water solubility of the adhesive was the lowest when sodium silicate, the curi...
